Do The Celebrities Actually Have A Hand In Things?

The extent to which a celebrity is involved in the designer perfume that is sold in their name can vary. Some celebrities turn the design tasks over to professionals and simply give their approval on the finished products. Other celebrities are involved in the process from the conceptualization stages to the marketing of the designer perfume.

While Celine Dion says she was involved in every aspect of the development of her designer perfume, that doesnt mean she donned a lab coat and actually mixed the vials of scent like a proverbial mad scientist. Rather she was involved in the development process that decided just what kind of scent she wanted to manufacture. She also took part in designing the bottle and the marketing of her newest line.

Jennifer Lopez is another celebrity that likes to be involved in the production of her designer perfume. Having once worked at a cosmetics counter, she knew exactly what she wanted her signature fragrance to smell like. The company that worked out the fragrance combination credits her with adding the hint of sake scent that tops off the perfume. She even had the bottle design include a pretend diamond ring or necklace on the neck in tribute to her penchant for wearing jewelry. By keeping involved with each aspect of her scents development, she can make sure that the perfume genuinely reflects who she is.

Paris Hilton doesnt claim to be involved in every aspect of her perfume designs however she does take a large role in the marketing of her perfume. Without her famous face, the perfume would probably get lost amidst the many other fragrances at the local drug and discount store.

Celebrity Designer Perfumes Grow In Popularity

When celebrities, such as Elizabeth Taylor, first introduced designer perfumes decades ago, the reaction was mixed. Some critics felt that celebrity perfumes were just a fad. Today with many celebrities, such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Britney Spears, joining the ranks of perfume makers, the sales of celebrity fragrances is growing in leaps and bounds.

Putting it simply, because women easily excel in whatever they put their mind to, and become passionate about. Or Maxine Clarke the founder of Build-A-Bear who simply had an idea to make retail "more fun."

These are just a few of the many women who decided to take their great, or at first crazy, idea and turn it into something useful. All of these women created empires in a relatively short period of time. And contrary to what we've been made to believe, they are not the exceptions to the rule. In fact most of them were average women, sometimes even very poor until their determination took them to places they never expected.

Now if you're thinking that you probably need more than mere determination and passion to join the multi-millionaire's club, you're absolutely right! There are, in fact, a few other things you need in order to succeed:

• Have a clear concept of your great idea: Just to daydream about inventing automatic hair-rollers will not make them materialize. Put it on paper as clear as you can, until you can see it as a possibility in your mind.

• Be sure to have a just cause: Make sure your great idea is clearly useful in the real world and not only sounds great on paper or in your head. It should solve a real problem, make life easier or better.

• Brainstorm about the basic mechanism: Outline already-existing technologies that could help bring your idea to life or actually become part of its mechanism. You could also try to come up with innovative technology of your own.

• Be sure to know your demographics: Select your market niche and think in terms of what their preferences are. The surest way to succeed is to learn all about a demographic and then anticipate its needs. This will help you to pitch them successfully which is, ultimately, what guarantees your entry into the M-M club. After all is said and done, you must know how to market and sell your product.

This month instead of going wild and getting into more debt, why not take some time to celebrate the great women who not only contributed towards making our world a better place, but have also inspired us with their courage and creativity? Because of them, we can dare to believe that everything is possible.

For these holidays the best gift you can give yourself or any teenage girl you know, is not another pair of shoes or more jewelry and clothes, but to take some time to brainstorm, then carefully develop a billion-dollar idea. Who knows, perhaps by next year this time people might be in a frenzy to get their hands on your product. Think of it like taking some time to write yourself a post-dated billion-dollar check.

Explain what you're doing, and keep it as simple as possible. Help them to feel like they actually could do this themselves (after buying your products, of course!). I am applying at a new Estee Lauder make up counter how do I impress their reps.?

A department store in my town is getting a Estee Lauder and Clinique counter . i have an interveiw with the stores managers and that doesn't worry me . but i am a little intimidated by meating with the make-up companys represenatives. what should i expect in the interveiw and what should i do to impress them. if anyone out there has any experience with the 2 companys could you give me some tips.

I could sell Estee Lauder makeup because I wear it and I love it. On the other hand, I could not sell Clinique makeup because I think it's crap. I would suggest you go to another store and check out the makeup lines for yourself (no purchasing necessary) so you can get a feel for what's great about the products. They are looking for someone who can be enthusiastic about the makeup, because when you love something it shows, and it makes people want to buy it too. At Macy's, they make you wear the makeup you're selling when you come to work, so you'll get familiar with it anyway once you get hired. As long as you're friendly and willing to learn, you'll be fine.

Here's what I love about Estee Lauder: The products are long lasting, the color selection is great, the packaging never breaks or cracks, and the fragrances smell good and are the kind that everyone likes. Their lipsticks are great, and the Projectionist mascara is perfection. Their Pure Color Eyeshadows are the only ones I wear because they last all day, and the colors are rich and creamy, even though it's a powder.

(I won't mention Clinique since I don't care for the line except to say their powder blushes are very finely milled and go on like silk on your skin. I do like their blush.)

When I first sniffed Coco Mademoiselle, it suddenly transported me to an aristocratic woman's boudoir. In her dressing room, her perfumes would be on top of her antique dresser. She would own fragrances from the world's most sophisticated and established design houses, such as Creed, Dior, Estee Lauder, Givenchy, Guerlain and Nina Ricci. Of course, her prized scents would come from the world's most recognized and upscale fashion and perfume house, Chanel. She would use Chanel No. 5 for every day use, Gardenia when she wanted to feel classy and established and Coco Mademoiselle when she wanted to feel young and sensuous.

I recently had another sniff of this new classic perfume, which caused me to have a similar experience when I first encountered the floral fragrance. It took me on a mental journey; I had a fragrance memory. About a year ago, I went on a cruise with a group of good friends to the Mexican Riviera. One of my comrades used my Coco Mademoiselle tester. (I used to sell designer perfumes.) Just like the imaginary woman that I described in the above paragraph, she had an aristocratic aura. She came from a hardworking and good family who appreciated the finer things in life. So, I wasn't surprise when she used my tester. When she sprayed the fragrance on her body, the blend of her natural oils and the scent were amazing. If I wasn't part of the third sex, I would have seduced her.

As you can tell from the above paragraphs, I really love Coco Mademoiselle. Its mixture of chypre and floral notes are spellbinding. It is also very feminine and sophisticated, which makes it very sensual. I must give you this one warning if you choose to wear this perfume; you must be prepared for plenty of attention. You will receive many lustful stares from many gentlemen and some beautiful women.

Coco Mademoiselle is a younger member of the Chanel fragrance family. Originally launched in 2001 as an eau de parfum, it was created by Jacques Poge. According to Chanel's web site, he "reaffirms the modernity of the young Coco Chanel, who overturned convention with the pure and simple lines of her inimitable style. Coco Mademoiselle is the fragrance Coco Chanel would wear if she were 21 at the dawn of the 21st century." In 2002, Chanel launched the eau de toilette version of this fragrance. It was lighter and sweeter according to Osmoz, and it symbolized understated elegance.

Coco Mademoiselle begins with orange and bergamot. Its middle notes are rose and jasmine, and it dries down to patchouli and vetiver. Grapefruit, litchi, musk and vanilla notes are added to the eau de toilette formula.

Coco Mademoiselle's juice is housed in a bottle that is similar to Chanel No. 5's legendary flacon. It is "bare and structured." The eau de toilette's bottle is considered to be abstract. It is rectangular and very vertical. Its cap is pearly white.

You can purchase Coco Mademoiselle from all Chanel boutiques, fine department stores and perfumeries. It can also be bought on Chanel's website. It is available in 1.7 oz and 3.4 oz sizes. Finally, if you are a classy, playful and sensuous madame or mademoiselle, I highly recommend that you buy and wear Coco Mademoiselle.
